Purpose in Action
A Dream Realized Through Mentorship
For years, one of my personal goals has been to serve as a mentor within schools, creating opportunities to encourage young people as they begin discovering who they are and what their future can become.
This year, that vision became a reality as I began serving as a Pillar of Hope mentor.
Through mentorship, I have the opportunity to be present with students, share parts of my own journey, and talk honestly about overcoming adversity, navigating barriers, pursuing education and career goals, and continuing forward when life does not unfold as expected.
For me, this opportunity represents more than accomplishing a personal goal. It reflects the very heart of Keeping Each Other Encouraged
Using what we have lived, learned, and overcome to help someone else recognize what may be possible for their own life.
Sometimes purpose comes full circle: what you once had to overcome becomes part of what you can use to encourage someone coming behind you.

Because This Work Is More Than a Presentation
KEOE wasn't created from a textbook or a marketing plan.
It grew from years of encouraging, mentoring, teaching, leading, creating, listening, and walking alongside people through real life.
My professional experience has also allowed me to work with individuals from many backgrounds while developing skills in leadership, communication, training, mentoring, administration, team development, and creating environments where people feel supported and respected.
But professional experience is only one part of what I bring into the room.
I bring lived experience.
I understand what it means for life not to follow the plan you imagined.
I understand rebuilding.
I understand discovering that strength and vulnerability can exist at the same time.
And I understand that sometimes people don't need someone standing in front of them telling them what their life should look like.
Sometimes they need someone willing to create the space for them to discover it themselves.
That is what I strive to provide through KEOE.
A space to be seen.
A space to reflect.
A space to create.
A space to reconnect.
A space to move forward. -
KEOE workshops are not one-size-fits-all presentations.
Experiences can be adapted for the people in the room and the goals of the organization inviting us in.
